The Salamoni Reservoir is a wonderful place our family loves to visit during the summer time. It is like your traditional Reservoir, usually man-made, except this one has some cool history. On this trip it was fall, nearing winter, so the days were perfect in temperature and the nights were FREEZING!
We took plenty of time to get out on the boat and cruise the around. The Salamoni Reservoir is man-made with the waters covering the ghost of a old-times town. When they drain the waters down for the year you can see bits and pieces of what used to be, such as old churches, houses etc.
The Salamoni has a huge selection of hiking trials and fishing spots, camp grounds, and horse riding trails. Check it out, let us know what you think!
